Gemma & Pete were planning on extending their property to open up their separate kitchen and dining room, incorporating an additional living room, and needed a kitchen design that would feel as open as their new living space.
Opting for a simple painted shaker door with an Ink Blue and Light Grey colour palette, pairing this with CRL Monte Bianco Quartz with its light grey background, warm grey veins and white highlights. Quartz is non-porous and anti-bacterial, making it perfect for all the preparation and heavy use areas of the kitchen, ensuring a durable and hygienic workspace. With the bright, lifting worktops and cool door colour palette it was important to introduce some warmth to the design, oak worktops for the tops for the open shelving area as you enter the kitchen, antique bronze mirror for behind the range cooker and American copper handles for the doors.
Other key features of the kitchen include a double bowl sit on ceramic sink, Quooker boiling water tap, Blum dynamic space larder, pull out spice racks either side of the cooker and a wine cooler.
